From Chile’s finest terroir comes this Cabernet Sauvignon full of complex quality. The grapes are grown in poor, gravel soils at the foothills of the Andes Mountains and produce a wine that reflects the true expression of Maipo Valley. This provides 1865’s with its high quality footprint of Cabernet Sauvignon.
Cherry-red with violet hues.
The nose is predominated by red fruit, like raspberries and cherries, and berries, such as blueberries. There are also spicy notes imparted from wine’s barrel aging, which adds complexity to this wine.
Balanced, with good body and medium structure. The tannins are smooth, leading to a pleasant, elegant and prolonged finish.
Ideal for accompanying red meat in general, roast meat, marinated meat, and lamb stew, as well as strong cheese. Best served at 15ºC - 18ºC.
